WASH

With the understanding that proper public toilets are essential for public health and sanitation, thereby ensuring the well-being of communities, the Rotary Club of Calcutta Kankurgachi took initiative to remodel two public toilets in Baikunthapur, Bankura. This project involved the installation of several advanced amenities for washrooms, including proper water supply, an overhead tank, a hand wash unit, and a submersible pump. Additionally, a drinking water tap was also installed. The project was inaugurated by District Governor Rtn Hiralal Yadav on March 23, 2024. The successful completion of the project was made possible with the assistance of the Eastern India Rotary Welfare Trust, while logistical support was provided by the Sahashpur Gram Panchayat.
