Afforestation in Pathorprotima, Sunderbans
The NGO Nature Mates has taken up a venture of planting more than 8000 non-mangrove trees in different areas of Pathorprotima, Sunderbans. The NGO appealed for crowd-funding asking for Rs 100/- per tree, and RCCJ came forward with Rs 20,000/- i.e. taking responsibility of 200 trees. The cheque was handed over to Nature Mates today.
